Album

For this project, I recreated the album This Old Dog by Mac DeMarco, focusing on the central theme of duality presented in the music. Conceptually, the design explored the contrast between youth and aging, as well as the emotional complexities of loyalty and companionship. Visually, I aimed to capture this duality through juxtaposition and layering. The design process incorporated both analog and digital methods, reflecting tension between organic and artificial. I found blending these mediums to be a challenge. Typography and color choices were key in supporting my concept. The muted palette and simple type emphasis sentimentality. The project pushed me to navigate discomfort in my creative process and taught me the importance of design consistency and intentionality.
